Come on, you can tell us.
An ETA (other than “early 2010”) would be nice… I have both my Taurus shirts now, & have waited patiently for 13 months, so I just want to know “Where’s the Beef!”
Well I know this much, they are going to NAMM. We will most likely see some videos from there from analogsuicide or something im sure.
They are waiting on parts from the distributors, thats why they postponed the shipment. WHen they get these in, there will be a few going out to the lucky ones, then Moog expects to make several per day.
Be patient!
Eric
I can’t wait for the day when I can finally say: “Beef: It’s what’s for dinner”.
Well, I called Moog yesterday to make sure that they had my credit card info…I was told that I was in for one of the first 50 or so…I was also told that hopefully by the end of the month they will be sending the first ones out…I’m so stinking excited I can hardly stand it… ![]()
There is a big space waiting to be filled in my synth pod…
p.s. how do I insert an image?
Does no one read the FAQ?
But yeah…if you have a photobucket or Flickr account, upload a photo there and link it here. ![]()
Congrats! I hope I’m right there with you - I ordered mine on the morning of the 2nd day of the offer, so hopefully mine will be coming soon as well. Man, after playing my new Prophet for the past 2 days, I’m slobbering to hear it & the Taurus together! btw, the image you were going to insert - is it the “Synth Cockpit” comic from the Pack Rat? I LOVE those comics…
Thanks for the pic info…(I was gonna insert a pic of my synth pod with the space to be filled)
Not familiar with the Pack Rat comics (I’ll have to check it out)
Man I’m sooo jealous of your Prophet…been drooling over it for a while now…What version did you get?..
I Think I ordered my pedals during the first week…
Opal - I bought the pe, or potientiometer edition. You can set the potientiometers to act like the encoders on the standard version, or select from 2 other very cool modes. Easy to program, tons of modulation options, and with the ability to play mono patches with 8 oscillators under 1 key, leads and basses can sound positively huge. As thrilled as I am with with the Prophet, I am looking forward to the Taurus even more. As a bassist, I play keys only on a few songs with my band, but I play bass pedals on a lot of stuff. Hmmm, T-3s MIDI’d to P’08 = 10 oscillators under 1 foot - I can’t wait! Please let us know when your Taurus arrive.
Superd, that is one sick synth (prophet)…how many LFO’s does that thing have?..
I have three console organs in my living room(love the drum machines and foot pedals on these things)…That’s where I learned to play with my feet…
I’ll let you know as soon as they arrive…Please do the same…
Here is a pic of my incomplete synth pod…
Waiting patiently, keith

Keith, there are 4 LFOs on the P’08, and a myriad of destinations - check out the DSI site for a really cool video review from Sonic State. As sick it is, it can’t compare to that rack of Foogers of yours, sitting next to a LinnDrum, with the Voyager for basses & leads - that setup has got to produce some great rythms! Looks like a set of Taurus 3s will complete your synth cockpit rather nicely.
Thats a heck of a rig
Taurus Folk,
Chris Stack here, coming to you live from NAMM. We just finished the first day of set-up. Everything’s going well. I just posted some photos on the Facebook page.
I’m uploading a new Taurus video to Facebook now. Should be there in a few minutes. After that, if YouTube is behaving (it was undergoing maintenance earlier this evening) I’ll post it there too.
This one is a cool behind-the-scenes look at some of the critical listening tests that went into the development of the Taurus 3.
Special highlight: Cyril Lance’s dual Taurus solo!
Enjoy
That sounds AWESOME!
