whats the difference?

hey i’m new here, was wondering if i could pick your brains…

i can see the obvious physical difference between the Electric Blue V3 and the newer V3, but are there any distinctions other than cosmetic?
i see you can transpose the keyboard on the blue… can you on the new one?
i’m going to buy one new week and thought i’d question those in the know.
if ya’ll could reccomend me, that would be great.
cheers,
Lew

but are there any distinctions other than cosmetic?

The soft- and hardware are the same in all versions.
Have fun,
Rudi

cheers dude,
i heard the blue one gives an annoying high pitched interference from the lighting…
but here it’s £250 cheaper…
thats enough to get the cv expander!

I was under the impression that all of the Moog Voyagers had the lighting interference. I just picked up the Electric Blue and it is noticeable but far from becoming a problem. So it’s only this version and not any of the others? Why?

Thanks!
Michael

This forum needs stickies…

The lighting noise does not come through the audio outputs, it comes from the backlight power supply itself. Its not interference because it does not interfere with the audio in any way what-so-ever. Search this forum for more on the topic.

There’s a new setup which eliminates the noise completely.

And lots of new colors as you’ll see at NAMM.

But its still got the MiniMoog sound! :sunglasses:

NovaMusik “Lunar” - is that a new one? Not sure I’ve seen it before but they mention it on their website. Mere minutes away - the press releases are starting to come in…
