I’m looking for ideas, how do you do it?
Reverb with mix > 50%
EHX POGs
My first two ideas. Haven’t tried them though ![]()
i dont always use something in there, but i use mf101, 102, 103, (105 when i had one…i really miss it now) 108M all either chained up or individually. i also really like this little barcuss-berry germanium preamp i have, it adds more bite and top end to the oscillators.
things i want to try: the new mf drive, grove audio pm resonator, dot com fixed filter bank and devi ever hyperion and/or soda meiser
I’ve been running all my Foogers through the FX loop. Works really great. Now I send the Voyager out the Aux on my mixer to accomplish the same thing. Works a bit easier, opens up more options.

Most of the time it’s this:

I tend to keep a TRS Send/Receive plug in the Mixer Output jack all the time just so I can easily add an effect or processor whenever the mood/inspiration strikes.

The MIDIMurf is very effective in the effects loop.
The 103 is really nice there. Don’t think I’ll be able to keep my hands off a Drive when they’ll be available.
No one uses delay but me? Really? Deluxe Memory Boy (analog, with CV pedal input) or TC Nova Delay (digital, stereo).
Sure, but not in the effects LOOP
MXR EQ → Empres Phaser
That Empress Phaser seems very, very interesting. A friend of mine got it and he’s really happy with it. We planned to have a Phaser Fight Session since I have the SubDecay Quasar Deluxe which is another little beast…
Uh. I should try the later in the Voyager loop… Thanks ![]()
I just use a TC Electronics Fireworx…has everything and more for my needs… ![]()
Back when I had my Voyager, I used EHX Cathedral reverb, and EHX Deluxe Memory Man. These days, I still use the Cathedral, but with Boss DD7 and BF3 with my Minimoog D.
all of the above ~ and external modules in a Modular can work very well too

anybody know where to get an Insert Cable that’s got a 1/4" to 1/8" ring and tip? ![]()
Just throw some 1/8" to 1/4" adapters on the ends of a regular insert cable.

that’s what I have done… but I’d prefer no adapters if I could find a cable like that
actually the dedicated Loop In and Out on the MF-104z makes it cleaner & preferable to the new 104M and clusterflux for that reason, but you can’t really bypass it on the Voyagers… ![]()
I’ve been getting a lot of juice out of the Ekdahl Moisturizer and the Infanem second voice both in the loop. They both have extensive CV inputs, so I send them stuff with the cp-251 and (coming soon!) the vx-351. The Ekdahl is billed as a spring reverb which it excels at. But in the loop, I get the most use out of its multimode filter. It really screams if you overdrive the input. As for the Second Voice, it’s more subtle, and definitely a bit more muddy,as it’s intended for guitar. Plus the filters on it don’t resonate loudly at all. But it gives you two more oscillators that track the pitch in real time (analog), and those are inherently kinda dodgy. So they glitch in really interesting–and warm–ways.
Animoog in the external in, triggered by the Voyager’s midi, is a very wonderful addition to all of this.
Some day I’ll get an mf104 to send the master outputs to, but for now this ipad app called AUFX:dub makes for an epic, hands-on, very high quality delay that adds optional simulated tape warble and tape hiss and stuff. It’s digital, but digital can be good, too. Plus it’s $3. As opposed to like, $600. Haha. I tried to use the Filtatron just to keep the whole Moog party going, but I’d rather have a full-featured digi delay than a digital copy of an analog pedal.
I use the Moogerfooger Freqbox in the effects loop of my Voyager. The Freqbox becomes very usable for me hooked up this way, kind of like a distortion unit.
I also have the OSC out of the Freqbox running into the external Input of the Voyager. When I want, I can turn up the external input in the Voyager’s mixer section and improvise around the fixed pitch of the Freqbox OSC.
