What tuner do you use.

Hey all…

Got a pro on order.
Looking to pick a tuner to help me out at the beginning (no admonishments please about who does or doesn’t use a tuner).

I like the look of the Fender ST 1 Chromatic Stage Tuner
but heard it doens’t last very long.

I’m not sure it will respond to the full range. How can you tell that with these tuners?

What’s your favorite tuner?
Have you used the Fender ST 1 Chromatic Stage Tuner?

i took it back within 30 mins of first use.
not accurate at all.

but then again you get what you pay for, and it was the cheapest tuner at guitar center when i bought it.

Well I ended up getting the Sabine which came right away.
Unfortuantely the Theremin is still has not.

Boy they are slow delivering their products!

I’ve always had good luck w/ the Korg tuners, from the cheapest to the most expensive. All were reliable and useful. I have NOT used them w/ a theremin, however. As long as you have some musical training, I think you may benefit most from practicing theremin along with a drone pitch emanating from either a chromatic tuner that can produce all the pitches audibly or even playing along w/ other musicians; the visual indication of a tuner simply will not respond fast enough to get your technique accurate. Nothing’s as a fast as an excellent ear… ooops… … I forgot.. you said “no comments about using a tuner or not”… lolol.. sorry..

Yes I totally want to rely on my ear. It’s interesting you mention using a drone. I’d thought about that and a friend turned me onto electronic Shruti boxes which basically emulate the vina or tambura drones used in Indian music. I’m tracking one of those down too, they sound cool.

Still need the Etherwave Pro tho!
Every delivery date I’ve heard for mine just keeps getting pushed back.
