What position do you play your Voyager in?

What notch do you set your panel to?

  • 5 (panel is closest to 90 degrees)
  • 4
  • 3 (middle)
  • 2
  • 1 (lowest)

By position, I mean the position of the front panel. I set it to as high as possible (the metal plate is lowest on the notches in the back).

Did the original Minimoog have notches on the back, or was it a at a fixed angle? And if it was fixed, what Voyager notch setting is closest to it?

Note if you play without propping up the front panel at all.

I use the middle position. But the whole keyboard is at a 30deg angle in my rack. The back panel is only about 20 deg off vertical.

EDIT: I’ve switched to almost flat. The more I use the TP, the more I like it down there.

I chose 5. I think it looks best to me at that angle.

But the position I play in is in my Keyboard God pose with a fan blowing my long hair. My Bandannas dangle as does the fringe from my leather jacket and pants.

I usually set it at the 3rd notch. This could be changing to 5 with the new setup on top of the rhodes.

I wish they would have made the Voyager playable with the panel completely closed. I usually use it with a thin book propping the panel up just enough to fit the cables.

I put my angle on setting 5…for me the best way to use the Voyager on my stand and still be able to reach the connectors easily on the back.

I have my Voyager on the lowest tier (Apex stand), with
the panel fully ‘up’. Top tier is Frostwave seq, KP3, and
Kaosillator, which I play on my knee. The task lamp
lights up the Voyager, the upper deck is in the dark.
Nice.

Lying face down drunk on the floor while naked Japanese schoolgirls cavort about me.

usually buck naked, and in the doggy-receiving position. This is good for the 1/4 plug thing.
