What moog product can get me this sound?

not sure if you guys know this song(s) but i’m going to use two songs that hopefully some of you guys know that can get you guys a better idea of what i want. basically, i want to reproduce the sound on my guitar thru a dual rectifier type amp.

chemical brothers - replacement killers - basically after the organ-surreal sounding bit in the beginning it kicks into this trancy techno sound. this is the sound that i’d like to reproduce on my guitar but i have no clue what kind of effects should i get in order to replicate it. i think it involves a flanger for that in and out effect and a filter for that techno sound. basically, all i care about is the techno sound and that dipping sound. none of the swirlls or anything like that, or else my bank account will die =(

blink 182 - roller coaster - there’s a part in the song where the guy stops singing and all that’s there are drums, bass and a techno/synthy sound. same as the chemical brothers example i talked about above. i think it’s a filter but i could be wrong.

if you guys can’t be bothered to download the songs or you don’t know them, then there is a similar product that produces what i’m trying to produce:

http://guitarpedal.com/el-bassballs.html

set the switch on the left to distortion and the knob to the fourth or maximum position. make sure the red light is on and click on the guitar. basically i want that sound but alot more brighter than that.

also, what is the diff between a filter and an envelope filter? or are they same?

It sounds like a lowpass filter to me with resonance so probably the Moogerfooger Low Pass Filter MF-101. It also has separate control of resonance.

A filter removes frequencies from the source signal e.g. a VCO or vocals, guitar and so on. There are several different types of filter, the most common in an analogue sizer are:
Low-pass: Remove high frequencies and pass thru low frequencies.
Band-pass: Removes low and high frequencies.
High-pass: Remove low frequencies and pass thru high frequencies.

Envelop-filter is actually a filter with an envelop controlling the filter. With a envelope connected to a filter/amplifier you can shapes the sound. In a synthesizer like the Voyager you can set attack times, decay times, sustain level and release time for both the filter and the amplifier.
In a guitar/bass pedal the envelope is usually a simple AD envelope (Attack, Decay) to get that classic 70’s sound often you can only set the level. Some pedals have envelope-follower, that analyze the incoming signal shape and then transfer it to the filter or amplifier in the pedal.

Best regards and good luck!
