It was a bit shocking to learn that Les Paul drove a Lincoln Town Car (see: 0:50:49 in the video)

and I always get curious about the day-to-day lives of iconic figures. The Moog Documentary was great - but I’ve always wondered what car Bob Moog drove.
You want to picture him behind the wheel of a Delorean - but he probably drove either a '72 Plymouth Valiant, a Yugo or a Ford F150 pickup.
An old (1984-85 ?) “repainted” Toyota Tercel station wagon.
As seen here, and also in the documentary Moog by Hans Fjellestad, @ around 0:15 (just before the vegetable garden scene) where we see Bob driving it:
Awesome !
I missed that … so that is a … Toyota Tercel ?
I am going to have to watch the whole documentary all over again
Yep, the “Wagon” edition, from the eighties.
He actually drove a Voyager, and Alan R. Perlman drove an Odyssey with Moog suspension. Tom Oberheim drives a new Mustang, which is cool, but not as good as the original.
Here’s another photo found around the web:
Unfiltered37, do you realize that some of these car names were of minivans, and only Tom was given the name of a sports car ? (coincidence or what?)
Moog Voyager:
ARP Odyssey:
“Oberheim?” Mustang:
Don’t forget the Ford Taurus ~ slightly less cool looking domestic version of the Tercel
A psychedelic '67 Satellite?
I always liked the '69 Moog models the best!

Don’t get me started on Moog names, because here is the original Voyager XL:
How about the Taurus III?
Moog needs a synthesizer called Enterprise.
Did someone mention Poly?
Moog?
Cars?
Must be time for:

Why do minivans always get such deceptively cool names? It’s not as if we’re driving around analog synthesizers here…
Arkadin, thanks for posting that link. I couldn’t watch that video too many times. So great…
