Source of the signal would be a monotribe
Check the manual, but I am doubtful that will work. 
It’s very likely your rate will just blip in time with and at the same magnitude of the click signal.
The rate input is just that: a CV input. What you describe would work better with a clock signal input.
Yeah it will just modulate the rate cv in quick blips, it won’t sync. If you use the square wave lfo you can send that out to the sync input of the monotribe to sync it up that way. Ive done this to sync to my murf. Or if you have a cp251 you can send the square to monotribe and triangle to ring mod
