I asked synthwood and the who is the other guy in the forum who makes the plastic?
jesus all this moog modding and repairing, some 1,000 parts.
I should post the before photo?
I sent out my case today, the beer ring on the top had me going nutty.
all finished on optikey.
My moog was in ratty ass shape and now its just amazing.
So ok I sanded down the case.
what is the wood cherry? It has very little grain.
Im going to go with an orange color.
Some how a 100% referb moog just looked bad with the ratty ass case.
who cares its what I want, I feel bad but I wanted it and pulled the trigger and took to a wood shop today.
BEFORE PHOTO: (sorry I had a few beers) Its so hard to look into moogs with out playing them.
GUTSZ

I might be the guy you are thinking of that makes things out of plastic. I was offering clear modwheels here recently for $15 each.
You could add any color LED’s under clear wheels and they will light up. You would want to find out which value of resistor to use and how to connect it (understanding which leg is positive and negative) to a power source inside your MINI. I am sure it could be done, but I don’t have a MINI around to guide you through the process.
Sanded and re-stained Mini’s look pretty amazing (as do the original-looking ones). I get why people want to keep it looking original if it is still decent-looking. Sometimes they can be in a really beat up or even a painted-over condition in dire need of a refinish. You could also think of it like not painting your house or letting rust eat your car.
