Hey, new moogerfooger user here. Just got a ring mod and low pass filter. The ring mod came with a moog ac adaptor, the low pass filter came with an off-brand adapter in an open box (I think the brand was called “Triad”).
Is this normal? These are expensive pedals, so I just want to make sure I didn’t get a refurbished unit or something.
Somewhat related question, can I power these things with Pedal Power / Supa-Charger (provided I use the correct polarity adapter)? I’ve read conflicting things about this. The specs look like they’d handle it.
I think I’ve received a different wall wart with each of the foogers I’ve bought. They each function as expected. Some have been MOOG branded, some not, Triad I think is what two of them are. The Moog branded was just a sticker placed on it. I could care less if they make power supplies, just as long as I get one that’s regulated with my purchase.
For the most part you can power all foogers off pedal power etc, there are a few threads on this, have a look.
