according to a quick google search, moog music announced the vx352 back in january. this provides all the cv inputs for the voyager rack. but there’s no mention of it on the moog site. sweetwater.com lists it in their catalog and will take your money for it here:
but it’s not clear that they actually have them in stock. i remember seeing a photo of one of these that someone took at NAMM, but i can’t find it now. i haven’t bought a voyager rme yet because without the vx352 it isn’t any more useful to me than a studio electronics se-1x.
i’d really love to see one cp251-sized unit that has all inputs and outputs that make sense for the rme. for example to get lfo and s/h outputs from the rme, i need a vx351, but since the rme doesn’t have a keyboard or trackpad, most of the outputs are just wasted space.
so does anyone know anything they’re not telling? how many others are like me and waiting for the vx352 before considering a rme?
I’m pretty sure that in many cases manufacturers announce a product to major companies before releasing the info to the general public…this might be an example
I don’t think that’s so much the issue. I think the issue is there’s no info on the Moog site about it. Sure we can call them and ask about it. But from a pure business standpoint it doesn’t make any sense to release product info to vendors (who can take pre-orders) with no mention of it whatsoever on the manufactures website. It’s vaporware at that point.
