Howdy- A logistical question re this device- When playing live, where physically do you guys put this? I play my Voyager in 2 bands; in one it’s just the Voyager on a stand, a theremin, and I alternate on guitar (here’s that band, when I was on LP http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POPz8xmg5eA&feature=related I love the wacky old couple dancing throughout the freakout solo section, unfazed by the discordance!)-
Anyway, Do you VX users have it on a separate stand? I really want to add one of these, but don’t know where to put it!
Where it is practical, that’s the answer. Down does not work, right or left not that good, so that leaves the top. A VX-351 is usually followed by a CP-251, maybe some foogers. I you have the Etherwave Plus, there are some CV’s out of there too. And you probably don’t want 12 foot patching cables. Proximity of the knobs you want to tweak is priority one.
So I can imagine a custom made rack in your future (or at least a customized one).

Wouldn’t that be cool if Moog made customized stands/racks?
Yeah, I suppose I could get another tier on my stand, and cinch it in to be just big enough for the VX, with room for expansion… I’m sure glad my wife doesn’t lurk on this forum- She assumes after the Voyager, I’m done with Moog purchases! Hahaha! ![]()
If it is a set-and-forget deal, then you can just put it in the back of the Voyager where the top folds down, if you use the Voyager in a more upright position like I do. The only real things to tweak are the attenuators.
If you like to patch a lot in realtime, then you can get a second tier keyboard stand with a piece of wood as a support or the rack shelves for the foogers.
When jamming out of the house a 2 tier stand worked great for me and the Moogerfooger rack shelf, but I didn’t carry the vx/cp units, just the three other Foogers i had at the time.
Or you can get an XL haha.
And get something nice for your wife lol because infinite expansion is in your future. All roads lead to modular.
Eric
LOL, same here with my wife! One Voyager is all she thought… 6 Foogers later (those devils are addictive!) and still anticipating more - after all, I have got to get a CP-251 (or two) and a VX-351 to get them all together to play!

The cheapest and easiest solution I found was to cut a sheet of plywood large enough for the Voyager and the cp and vx along side and set that on my stand.
good stuff yall, thanks, and yes, cheers! it IS Friday and I get to drag the Moog out tonight for a rowdy bar gig! freak-out-the-drunks-Friday!
same here… but deep down they must know right… maybe they’re just in denial

“Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.”
I had a Hercules rack on order, it arrived today, so I threw in a quick OS and guitar set-up for some fun over the week-end. The thing with foogers and modular stuff is that it gets messy pretty fast. I used to have an Etherwave Plus hanging from the ceiling just right of this, but i has now moved into another room, gonna bring it back tomorrow. An essential when playing guitar and foogers. Hope it gives you some ideas.

looks very stage-ready Portamental! though, that guitar makes my heart ache (my dad got me one when I was 17 in '88 and I proceeded to trash it over the course of my punk rock career, as well as my long gone MG-1)-
could be… I don’t gig much, I bought my first synth and guitar at the tender age of 53… got a little bit of catching up to do but I’m getting there ![]()
