Hi Guys,
Someone has lent me a VX-351 with a view of selling it. I asked about the need
to install the output adaptor and he said there wasn’t one (though the box and
the manual both say its necessary).
I set up the unit, and it seems to work, but I am not sure if it works properly.
The ‘inverted keyboard trick’ doesn’t seem to work - I am yet to try many more.
Any advice on this one? Should it ‘kind of’ work without the output adaptor?
The Voyager Old School (and RME, I believe) won’t need it and in fact the VOS CAN’T use it because it will not physically fit (found out the hard way).
I’d post a WTB (wan’t to buy) as there must be a few dozens if not 100’s of owners here that are not using theirs (I parted with mine already). Or better yet, just call Tech Support, I doubt it will cost more than $20 or $30 delivered.
To answer your question posted on KnowTweak, I understand it’s a simple resister network. Check this thread: http://www.moogmusic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10056&p=76696&hilit=‘resistor+network’#p76696 it has some helpful links with lots of pictures and a much clearer installation procedure than what is provided with the product.
