I just got a vx-351. Has anyone else noticed a modulating noise/tone on startup with the voyager? It’s not a big deal. I was just wondering if anybody has this happen.

The short (less 1 sec) on powing up the Voyager?
This is most likely being cause by the D/A converters doing some nonsens to the CV controlled analog sound generation just before the voltage inside is settled and booting starts.
One should first power up all the instruments, then the mixer and then the amplifier and speakers anyway.
