Buy some patch cables and patch around, tweak some knobs and hear the sonic infinity. ![]()
i have the cables …
maybe someone has got a shema for exemple or something?
If I’m correct there are different example patches in the manual..
thanks for your answers, i think i understood the basics.
(cable wasn’t connected to the mix out filter)
The VX-351 is an OUTPUT CV Expander. It provides output voltages from the RME. By itself, this won’t do much for an RME, unless you are using it to control other CV devices (like a Moogerfooger).
In order to provide external CV control of the RME, you need to add the VX-352 INPUT CV Expander. This unit will allow you to control RME functions with externally applied control voltages.
An RME with the VX-351 & VX-352 makes a fine semi-modular synth, IMO. You can rack mount the 351/352 combo along with the RME for a compact & easily transportable synth rig.
BTW - The RME does not require the little output adapter board.
I have an RME all the foogers and 2 CPSD and a VX 351 and 352.
The 351 and 352 are key to integrating all this gear (and with other CV gear).
I am selling a brand new VX352 if you are interested. I can answer any questions you may have. Do you have any other CV gear (foogers, analog synths with CV, etc)?
Let me know and i’ll give you some patch suggestions.

i’m using it with cp 251…(it’s very new for me)
send it to france and it would be ok
ok i have a question
if the RME doesn’t have the touch pad then why does the expander have a spot for the touchpad?
am i missing something

i was thinking the same thing… maybe to sync to the voyagers touch pad??
Internally, the RME’s sound architecture is identical to the Voyager KB. This means that even without a physical Touch Surface controller, you can still program the T.S. parameters in the RME to do everything that the Voyager KB can do. The RME CV Expander simply gives you the X, Y, A and Gate jacks to input these signals externally - you could use the Touch Surface outputs of a Voyager KB for this, or you could substitute any other CV for these inputs (like an LFO).
It’s quite flexible, really.
