Voyager XL!

Hope this is real? Not sure but did see it on Moog Music’s Twitter Feed..thought i’d share! Kinda looks photoshopped but dunno!! :sunglasses:
Just a thought if it is real, could it be polyphonic perhaps?

Can’t be photoshopped.

It’s a Voyager integrated with a VX-351 and CP-251, and the VX/CP panels are different.

Looks slightly photoshopped–but perhaps only to correct colors for posting to the web…To that point, I think that this thing looks real. Nothing jumps out at me as indicating that it’s polyphonic. But it does appear to have something like a ribon controler between the keyboard and the control panel!

In all It looks like a Voyager with extended patch capabilities–something that expands the Voyager’s playability further towards the modular synthesis roots on which the original Minimoog was based. This could be quite interesting.

I really like it ! I’m betting it’s real also

Do WANT! But, saving money for polyphony.

oh no! :imp: Where is the innovation? How many need such a stuff?

Moog only must watch the poll in this forum. My money is still at the bank for polyphony, but I can not guarantee till I’m passing away. :unamused:

My back hurts when i look at this picture.

Luckily my wallet is empty and i don’t have a regular income at the moment.

QFT…also, http://www.musicradar.com/news/tech/moog-voyager-xl-2010s-best-new-synth-276793

Looks awesome ! I wish, but broke and no room for another right now ! None the less congratz to Moog !

Cheers

It’s real. Check these hi-res pictures, spend some time looking at the 1/4" on the left, you’ll see ribbon outs, and additional LFO with multiple waveforms, sync light, etc. etc. etc.

With closeups and details like this, it would be easier to make one from existing parts then to photoshop it to this level of detail.

Shame they didn’t make a 6 voice Poly with this interface and 5 octave BUT wishing them lots of success.

mouth-watering to me! Will skip the next summer holiday Aida ship cruising. Only one little problem remains: Convincing my wife…

Looks awesome, but if speculated specs and price are correct: milkcow.

Looks like it’s official…

That looks pretty dope though!

Enjoy…

Looks like Moog Music just went ahead and won the race to the nearest star system or something. I wonder what the guys at Korg are thinking now… They’re probably tearing up their plans for the Monotron XL.

So if you already have a Voyager, CP-251 and VX-351, aside from the ribbon and 5 Oct keyboard, are you missing anything???

The Midi Syncable LFO.

Missing only having all of that bliss in one self contained unit, though not missing how heavy it is probably going to be.

I hope they release the ribbon as a standalone product.

Yeah, you miss 1,5 octave, some extra wood, and a couple of things here and there.

And most importantly 1500 dollars.

The way I see it, is that Moog is milking the Voyager to EXTREME. First it’s signature edition, then it’s performer, then it’s Select series, then they put some more colors, then it’s Voyager OS, then it’s Voyager XL, then what?

I easily passed. I was expecting a polyphonic but it seems that it won’t happen. Too busy making Voyager XXL+. :unamused:
