i have recently purchased my minimoog and the voyager librarian and i am having some midi problems. my midi interface is the digi 001.i can trigger in to my sequencer fine i just cant get the mac to send midi to the voyager, load presets , banks or playback midi. i have tested cabels and done a test in [utilities audio/midi set up] and it will send and receive midi , but not with the librarian or my sequencer [logic], though it will send to the sequencer.
am i doing something wrong that is blatantly obvious ?
it has been a few years since i i have delt with midi set ups in favor of analog recording but the voyager has tempted me back.
please help.

I hope I’m not teaching you to suck eggs here, but make sure you’ve set the Voyager’s MIDI receive channel the same as Logic’s transmit channel for said instrument. If they match, you should have no problems making the sequencer play the Voyager and sending other data to it. It sounds like Logic’s receive and the Voyager’s transmit channels match up okay, as you are able to record the Voyager via Logic.
Hope this helps!
By the way, if you have any problems with Logic you could do worse than asking me, as I am an Apple Certified Pro for Logic Pro 7, having passed the exam yesterday.
hi unknown
thanks for your reply i do have evry thing set to the same channel
it seems to point to the digi 001 and some sort of conflict
i am stumped
Very strange. Have you checked out their website for any known problems with Logic and/or the Mac? Could possibly be a driver problem.
i have just got logic to work with it .to my shame i had an midi instument rather
than a midi trackset up as i said i am returning to logic after a five year break .
however it will not send or receive from protools or the moog librarian adding to the confusion with logic. i wil try and find out more
thanks
