i have a question about the midi capabilities of the xy pad.
is it possible to control bpm of a sequencer via the touch pad? for instance, slowing down the tempo by moving the x axis to the left, speed up to the right.
Probably. I imagine it would be mostly on the receiver side where the CC message sent by the touch surface would be interpreted to control temp… I imagine in any program you would just turn midi learn on, select a parameter (in this case tempo), touch the touch surface to learn that message, then assign min and max bounds…

It might work if the sequencer is except MIDI CCs for tempo. But tempo is something that need a way better resolution then the max 7 bit = 128 different values of a MIDI CC message. So you sequencer might not except MIDI CCs for tempo control.
