Been trying to do Jam & Lewis / Stevie Wonder type Mini Moog Bass fast glissando slides on the black keys and every time I perform a great one a note gets stuck on and I have to hit midi panic to un stick it. When I use the same technique sliding up and down on the white keys a note does not get stuck. Happens with no midi cables plugged in. Anybody have this happen and how is it fixed ?
Hi Rick,
do you have the same problem on MIDI-In with a master keyboard?
I sometimes have the same problem with an Old School one. No panic button there so I power cycle it…
Seems to come from the keybed controller itself; am I wrong Rudy?
Hi Stevie,
yeah I think a software update of the keyboard controller can fix it. But you need an adapter for the update.
Rudi
Can you describe in a couple of words how this can be performed and what adapter is needed?
I guess my English is not good enaugh - it’s better when you contact the guys from Moogmusic.
Rudy I connected my Prophet 08 via midi to my Voyager Electric Blue (which has a fairly brand new Analog Board replacement) and I could not recreate the problem playing glissandos on the P08’s white or black keys !!! So as it stands the stuck note happens ONLY when I glissando on the Voyager’s black keys. Hmmm…
Not only the black keys, BTW.
