Where does this patch come from? Mine won’t sound like that even if I ran a washing machine through the ext input.
Sounds like it might be cross modulation with some mods applied to the x/y/a pad.
I appreciate the effort, but does that really help?
Sounds like he’s distorting the crap out of it with a guitar pedal on the output. I can get sounds like that out of mine with a ring mod, factory patches and a tube overdrive. The more you use the TS, the more you find outrageous mods to the sound. My tune Roentgen is done with one patch live using the TS and a bit of delay. A lot of very strange timbres from one bass patch using the TS. Try a patch like F-67 “some ring-modulation” with the Amp Release turned down some and an overdrive on the output to get an idea of where to start from.
His Clav in that video sounds like he’s playing through a very overdriven Leslie. The Rhodes just sounds compressed and overdriven to me.
I made a patch awhile ago that sounds very much like it. Right now I can’t get to my Voyager,so I have to go on memory. I remember cross modulating the oscillators. The pad probably modulates the cutoff and/or the waveform of one of the oscillators.
He plays the voyager clean, I have seen him many times. He doesn’t play rhodes, he plays wurlitzer, and he uses wah and moogerfooger delay for clav. The patch sounds out of this world even when he doesnt use the pad.
