Voyager Old School + Kenton USB Solo (Midi/CV convertor)

Hi folks…

I’ve got an interesting dilema…

I’ve just bought a Kenton USB Solo to use with my OS. In the Moog manual it states that 0 to 5+ volts is sufficient to drive the various functions (pitch, gate, filter etc) - but in my case, the synth is unresponsive @ 5v - I have to get the Kenton to output 15v to get the gate working - awesome.

Just wondering wtf is going on, whether anyone else has experienced this with the Kenton ProSolo MK1, MKII or USB Solo…and whether 15v will kill my OS…

Spoke to a nice chap at Moog today (Ryan) and he suggests I try to ascertain what the Kenton is outputting - for that I will need some kind equipment? What do I need to check this reading? Secondly, I’ve been assured that 15v shouldn’t damage the synth - should I be worried?

any inexpensive digital multimeter (DMM) that reads DC voltage will tell you what’s going on there. radio shack or any other electronics store has them. it’s a nice tool to have around
