Voyager + LP Duophony?

Hey guys,

Just got my Voyager RME last week, and was wondering how exactly I would polychain my LP to the RME to create a duophonic setup? I’ve seen it done on youtube, and want to try it out, but not sure how to do it exactly? I searched the forum but failed to find anything (could be my ignorance) but any help is appreciated! Thanks

Ive never done it and am not near my Voyager right now to direct you to the proper menu locations, but you have to turn your RME to MIDI voice 2.

LP midi out to RME Midi in. The first key will be LP and the second key you press will be the RME.

I think theres moreto that but someone else will have to answer.

Just to clarify, I think they have to be on the same MIDI channel, but a different voice priority. Not sure where to find the option on my Voyager, so I don’t know the specific name.

OS version 3.5 (telling it from a Voyager with keys here):

MASTER menu item 4.2 “MIDI Key Order”:
Maximum of Keys “2”
Active Key: “2nd”

The route the Midi signals from the LP to the Voyager.
Set the LP to single trigger low note.
And then the first note played on the LP will be played by the LP.
The second note played while the first key is still pressed will be played by the Voyager, if the note if higher then the first note.

Thanks a ton !!! It was really quick and easy once you told me about the midi key order button. Sounds great

Now that you got that working …how bout some demos  there aren’t enough moog polychain demos.

Sure! As soon as I can / make something decent, I’ll upload something. Your right, there is a real lack of Moog polychain demos on youtube. A shame.

I’m finding it a bit tricky to get used to though.. their is definately some timing involved haha.
