I bought my Voyager used on craigslist a while ago, and compared to all the other ones that I have played, the keyboard action/tension on mine seems fairly loose. I don’t know if there have been different keyboards used (mine is an Anniversary Edition so it’s an older model) or if the precious owner somehow adjusted the spring tension. Does anyone have any info on this or have been brave enough to open their Voyager up enough to see the keyboard assembly?
It seems like my board has gotten broken in a bit, especially in the very center of the assembly.
I have taken mine apart to change the keyscan board and I didn’t notice any tension adjustments, nor was I looking for one.

I don’t think there is such a thing on the Fatar keyboard action used for the Voyager and many other non Japan synths.
The tensions is done by using springs. So how to adjust them? And changing them is not an easy or recommended job.
The action seems to be pretty even across my keyboard, so I don’t know if it’s really wear. If I press down on a key and slide my finger off it will bounce a little, whereas on my MEK (that I got yesterday
) it won’t bounce.
Maybe time for new bushings. I just did the upstop and downstops felts on one manual of my Hammond. What a differance! I also had the keyboard out and apart on my VFXsd and turned the bushings to an unused side. That really helped the aftertouch on that machine.
