voyager keyboard midi/cv?

Is the keyboard just a midi controller, or is it CV as well? Are there velocity sensitive keyboards that are just analog? For some reason I have a hard time getting the velocity to be expressive, and end up just using a pedal, and I thought it might be because of the limited velocity steps in midi?

It can do both, but you need the VX-351 box to get the CV outputs.

If velocity is a problem, there is a menu option to vary its response.

I don’t think so.
So many people use a modern synth with a keyboard that is “limited” to 127 different velocity values.
Scaling is the buzz word here.

indeed, there are mods available b.e rudi’s which give a different expression to the velocity of the voyager.
to my opinion it’s an improvement

So the actual keyboard sends both an analog gate and midi on message, as well as a midi velocity and CV continuous velocity to the voyger’s electronics? I have the VX, and use the velocity CV out to the filter, but it seems like the velocity values that come out are not continuous, and are incremental steps, which led me to beleive that maybe the keyboard is sending MIDI data to the electronics, and the midi is converting to CV, but that doesn’t sound right. If this is true, then the Keyboard version is the same as the RME with a midi controller, functionally speaking, (except for the touchpad)?

Rudi’s mod did improve the aftertouch mainly.
