Voyager filter drive/resonance distortion

Hello

I was wondering how I could get similar sweet resonance distortion/filter drive with my Voyager like in the beginning moments of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80rA_Bnv-Cw.

I see there is a little bit of multidrive used too, but would Voyager’s filters give similar sound if just driven?
I have also tried the feedback trick but it just seems to soften out and muddy the sound.

I thought I could increase the mixer output level with one of the many trimpots inside but don’t know which is the right one (though I haven’t yet opened mine, just looked pictures of the guts). Of course experimenting could help but I don’t want to mess up the other tunings as they are fine.
Also, will the lifespan of the instrument be shortened if the signals are too high?

Otherwise the Voyager sounds nice, but maybe sometimes just a bit too clean.

Never judge sound quality on a YT video. Too many questions about the audio chain. Crappy camera mic, compromised audio chain, compression artifacts through the YT upload process.

Try an mxr eq pedal. Boost a liitle of the lows, and a lot of the highs.

I (through the guidance of rudi) increased the volume of the noise source on my voyager, it was not an easy task. (Not terribly difficult either, just a little nerve racking. Not the same feeling of confidence i have opening a $3500 synth as when I’m opening a $300 or $45 synth) I had to disconnect the digital board connection from the analog board to access the trim pot. I was staying focused on my task at hand so I didn’t notice of the oscillator trims were in the same spot
