Okay - before anyone declares sacrilege - let me say that I really like the blue backlit wheels on the Voyager. I noticed that Moog Music offers a $99 backlit wheel option and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on how easy it would be to drop the Voyager backlit wheel option into an original Moog Music Mini D? I have the original white-ribbed wheels. Serial is circa 7800.

Voyager wheels will not fit a model D. Different dimensions.
I’ll make you clear lit wheels for your Mini in any color you like, but they’ll cost a lot more than $99 and unfortunately can’t be installed yourself. I’ve done ones that change color as you bend up or down, flash at the rate of modulation, change colors as you play up and down the keyboard, fade in or out with a touch of a finger, etc.
Custom stuff is really pricey though and a Mini should be in tip top shape before any mods are attempted. Probably best to enjoy the Voyager and Model D for what they are.
