what do you want the LEDs before the knob position to do

  • turn off (so there’s just one indicator
  • stay on (to symbolise things like filter openning and closing)

yeah it’s probably too late to change it now but it would make the world of difference for me at least

here is the original suggested change

ok this is a bit hard to explain, imagine that these — are non-lit LEDs and 0 is a lit LED

only one lights up to show where the position of the knob is

--------0-----

but i would much much prefer it so that all the previous LEDs are lit as well

0000000-----

really cool to show filter openning and closing e.t.c.

i just think it would make the LP much more intuitive to use this way, and it would nicely fit in with moogs explanation on filters, using window blinds
but hey that’s juat me

How do you know that Moog hasn’t already thought of that – perhaps as part of the unannounced new features?

yeah i hope they have,

i mean it won’t change the sound or anything but it would make programming a lot more fun

yeah no big deal either way, but it would be cool

in the first clue, the picture looks like it’s using the orientation that i suggested
but in the photos of the LP it looks at though only one light is lit up

ah well we’ll see soon enough anyway

Why not have it both ways by adding a menu option that controls the status of the LED ring? The menu selection could have the LED acting as a ‘pointer’ (a single LED approximating the parameter value) or a ‘bar’ (the LEDs are lit all the way up to the parameter value). That way, you have a choice and could customize the operation of the LP to your liking.
