Hi guys, have any of you come across this issue, that when you hold down a key, the sound is dull and you need to turn on and up Oscillator 2 and/or 3 in the Mixer to produce full sound? This has only started today and needs this procedure preformed before use after any rest. She needs to be seen too but can this be done in New Zealand or do I need to return my baby back to Moog for repair?

I’m not too sure of the specific issue, where was the synth bought from? And is it still under warranty?
The Rockshop are agents for Moog and outsource their servicing to Electric Factory (I think). There’s definitely a few techs up in Auckland, Painting with Sound is one.
Best of luck with your VOS
Thanks for that information latigid on, Painting with Sound seems the place. Ummm… I sourced my VOS from the States, New York. In doing so invalidates the warranty, something I knew when purchasing but a risk I was willing to take. Try and source one now. Regards.

Painting with Sound are great–best before you take it to them is to email Moog support and explain the situation and fault–they may be able to provide a service manual at a cost
You need the service manual or you are wasting there time
Another idea I have a feeling its kingley Moodie Musictronics who normally does the Rock Shops service–give him call and ask him does he service Moog
Thank you David for that additional information. Ummm… weird, today (Monday) and Sunday, fired up the beast and not a problem. Ghost in the Machine?
