Volume envelope 'RELEASE' having little effect

Hey everyone

For some reason my RELEASE control seems to do little even when I crank it all the way to 10 seconds. I would expect to hear the note for longer before it dies out but it only seems to last a fraction of a second.

On my LP, when I crank the release all the way up, the note will continue to ring until I hit the next note or turn the release time down.

Does it sound like there’s an issue with the Voyager, or am I just being some kind of gimp with my settings?

Thanks

Lex

check that your RELEASE switch is ‘on’ (it’s over by your pitch bend/mod wheels)

theres a big switch above the mod wheel marked “release” thas has a dramatic effect on the way the release knob affects the sound

AHHHHHH

Ok, so I was acting ‘the gimp’ then

Thanks everyone!!!

haha the same thing happened to me when i first go my voyager…for a few minutes i was like wtf its broken!!!

LOL

oh - one other quick question..

the frequency knobs in OSC 2 and 3 don’t align with their values… i.e. when the knob is set directly to 12 o’clock, the frequency is actually -7 or so… at frequency 0 the knob is slightly clockwise of 12 o’clock…

pedantic I know, but I go for the visual over the LCD value especially during live performance

is there some kind of calibration I can run on those?

Thanks in advance

Lex

No, it’s not so easy to build pots with such precision. It’s important that the lowest position says 0 and the highest position says 255 on the display (the cutoff pot for example).
Have fun,
Rudi

okies - thanks everyone for your responses!

Have you ever turned your pot to max value with sufficient speed to max it out at like 253 or something other than 255?
