Can’t quite figure out a pattern here.
Occasionally the sustain value will change while i am playing the keyboard, or it will change when I am away from the instrument.
Then it is fine for days, it’s a tough one to bring into the shop and explain because it is so sporadic.
Has anyone else had issues with pot values changing on their own? Any advice to troubleshoot before i take it for repair?

it can be a broken pot. What happens when the pot is all the time on the left end or right end position? If this runs without any pot changes the pot must be broken.

It is odd, when it happens, I am not able to get the value all the way donn to 0 or up to 255, it is like it is being over-ridden by software. But since it is the only pot affected I have to assume it’s hardware.
If I turn it all the way to the left or right and turn the keyboard on and off it seems to stay put and not jump around when I play.
The pot is tight, and functions normally most times. Very strange.

don’t worry about the software. After power on the system always checks the software byte by byte and if there’s a problem you would get a message on the screen. I guess the pot or a multiplexer on the digital board is broken.
