Vintage Moog Melodia Theremin

Hey Gang,
I have a vintage Moog Melodia theremin in working order. The business card of the original seller, Walter E. Sear, 111 W. 48th St., NY NY 10036, is still attached. I also have the original assembly manual.

A theremin-playing friend of mine thinks that this may have collectible value. Any thoughts? Contact me at tihzwa@aol.com

Thanks,
Fred P.

I would certianly hang on to it, unless you thought you might want to donate it to the Bob Moog Foundation as a museum exhibit.

That business card still attatched to it is definately a piece of history there.

Hey! Consider scanning or donating the paperwork ALONE to the Bob Moog Foundation. They have a Melodia already (donated) but the paperwork is a big part of the history, yet not worth so much $$. I’m sure you can even get a donation receipt and write off whatever you do donate from your taxes!

Walter Sear’s part of the history is kinda unknown, but he was a big part of that small early company. Thanks for the news about this.
