I’ve got a few rows of Moogerfoogers mounted in Moog’s rack thing. I’d like to mount them vertically and to use as little horizontal space as possible. Most music rack equipment is quite deep, wasting floor space.
I presume it uses the same hole spacing and width as music gear, but I’ve never seen people use them in a music context. Does anyone know if they might work - or be a bad idea for other reasons?
I would think that would work. You just need to make sure the weight balances and wouldn’t tip these over. The MF’s kind of have all of the weight in the front when in the racks.
I built something similar for my MF Racks. I just bought rack rails and made a shallow wood case to mount them. Not sure why the pic is upside down, but if you click it, it should be displayed correctly.
oh that looks sweet! is that the koma 301? thanks for posting this topic, as i have been thinking about freeing up desk space from the 2) desktop style racks i have. i do have a question regarding those standing racks, don’t they have square holes? are there adapters for rack screws?
The pedals are so much more accessible and practical being mounted like that. For me at least it’s a win.
The holes are square and I bought a set of screws and rack screw mounts. Very straightforward. The screws and mounts from my K&M rack also worked in it.
