Velocity to Cutoff problem

Hi :slight_smile:
I am wanting to assign velocity to cutoff and I have managed to do so but it’s not working as well as I would hope.

On th Mod 2 bus I have set:
Source = ON/Mod2
Destination = Filter
Shaping = Velocity
Amount = 100%

But it is only responding a little bit. I can’t get much filter movement out of it even if I set my lowest velocity to 2 and my highest to 127

I’m trying to get some sense out of the manual but I find it confusing.

I’m hoping to get more power out of the velocity to cutoff.

Any ideas?

Pot mapping is the answer unless you have an OS. It is very vague in the manuals how much the shaping affects the bus and because it is either on or off, there is no control over the amount of shaping other than the overall amount.

Is there a pedal or something else connected to the MOD2 input on the back?
If there is for example a pedal connected that isn’t fully pressed down, you get only a small range of modulation, because only a small voltage is then used and shaped by the velocity.

But the max modulation depth by velocity is really a bit low.
