I have a Voyager RME, wonderful synth although the navigation in the menus is a bit of a joke as the buttons change function in a manner that’s not very logical to me. Otherwise absolutely marvellous.
I’m chasing my tail on this though. I want to map velocity to control the filter envelope amount in such a way that I can access the full range of the filter.
When I set the amount → filter knob to center and a pot map to
src=veloc. att.
dest. Fil ENV Amt
Direction Normal
Amount 50%
..The voyager responds with zero filter envelope modulation at ‘zero’ velocity and then increase to what would be the amount → filter knob’s +5 position. But that does not reach the full range of the filter!
I guess this has to do with the amount → filter knob’s range. (duh) A pot map won’t increase the range of the hardware design.
So how do you do it?
