Hi guys, apart from the sustain setting, my Voyager VCA ADSR is not reponsive anymore.
Knobs are fine because I see values changing on display when turning them, but no effect on the sound itself: there is no attack/decay/release, just like all set to zero (a bit of release maybe is there). VCF ADSR is fine instead.
Thanks for any suggestions how to fix it, I can do the soldering myself if needed (not a first timer).
Sounds like one of the analog board issues; I had the identical problem with my Voyager, except on the Filter Envelope (sustain worked and values registered the display but the envelope didn’t run it’s course properly).
Contact Moog. It is possible that you have one of the Analog board in your synth with defective Texas Instrument ICs. There is a service bulletin that you would have receive, if you registered, which outlines the issue and what Moog is willing to do to remedy.
My was fixed up just fine after I encountered the problem; I’m sure they will help you as well.
Desoldering an IC and soldering a new IC is certainly an option but I would leave it to Moog to workout.
I have contacted tech support, awaiting reply. If it’s just one IC I may try myself, I already replaced a defective IC responsible for faulty glide control.
