Variable glide/pitch bend per oscilator? Possible Moog Mod?

One of my favorite things to do with my Sidstation (yes a totally different beast, but still), is to set the glide to each oscilator to be slightly different (it’s 3 oscilators as well, albiet each with it’s own amp env and other fun controls), so that when i’m playing lines it’s almost like 3 musicians, and two of them playing catchup. It’s kinda fun.

Another fun trick to do on it, is to set the pitch bend mod to a different value for each oscilator. If i have the oscilators tuned root, 3rd, fifth, and only set the 3rd to change by and half step on pitch, i can either get some cool sus chords, or minor chords, and it enables some nice single finger playing of some cool progressions. No, i’m not trying to make a polysynth of the voyager. I know it isn’t that, but if the 3 oscilators were a bit more independant programmingwise, it would be killer.

So, is there any way that the moog might be mod’ed (hopefully by Moog) to allow CV inputs for each oscilator? That alone would enable each of those things to be done in some manner or other. (i’ll explain in a sec) Or are they each fully hard clocked together relatively for their pitches?

I could see lag processors used on the oscilators, but each set for a different amount of lag, could affect how quicly they respond, and thus glide differently. You could use the attentuators on the 351 to affect how much the bend is outputting (just mult the bend CV) and take those to affect the oscilators again (thinking of how to do this.. as i don’t have a 351 here). Anyway, i’m sure it could be done. The final pitch is just adding the bend to the pitch right? Just add them together with a mixer and then bring back to the oscilator cv inputs.

Or maybe i’ll just have to wait until i get a full modular to do some of this. I’m pretty sure you could have done it with a Moog Modular at one point, but of course, it seems that Moog will never sell a modular again.

Ok, i figured out PART of the pitch bend thing, but it’s not accurate at all. I’m using the Pitch Bend source in the Pot Map pages, but it only offers 0/25/50/100 percentages for the amount effected. Maybe just making that in single step increments would do the trick.

AND it seems that as of 3.2 and calibrating the pitch bend wheel, I don’t have the problems fot the EDIT 1.4 screen Pitch Bend Amt transposing the keyboard. NOW how DO i transpose the keyboard…

Try Master Menu 4.1 - Transpose In/Out
