Using Roland CV Moog CV

Can anything bad happen?
what if you used a moog gate on a roland or vica versa?
Moog gear is -5V to +5V isn’t it?
what about roland?
Any help would be great, thanks.

If you’re refering to the Voyager gate signal provided by the VX-351, the gate is +5V (On) and 0V (Off). It doesn’t go negative.

more talking about using a roland lfo on a moog VCO or vica versa, or a roland keyboard on moog gear or vica versa. is this possible/safe?

i know roland and moog gate don’t get along very well but can they do any “damage” together, from what i can make out if you used a keyboard of one of the brands on a module of the other the notes would play only when your not pressing any keys and be silent when holding a key down, is this right?

Is it possilble? Yes, but you may need a special cable or adapter plug to match the Roland out with the Moog in if the jacks aren’t the same. Is it safe? It should be fine, but I’d suggest starting with a 0V signal and gradually increase the control.

Using the two products together shouldn’t cause any damage to either synth. The only thing that might result is that you don’t get quite the result you expect - especially if the gates signals are opposite polarity.

Which Roland synth are you using?
