used 101 dispute..

I am resloving an auction dispute now, and I was curious what you guys though a used Big Briar 101 with the following conditions would be worth.

-heavy marring on the wood, much of the varnish looking like it had water/ humidity damage [and the wood splintering/ swelling] thsi also could be seen on the tarnished bottom plate, and water deposits on the inside of the pedal]
-the reso nob and stem was broken clean off
-rusted screws
-rust and on the inside on the casing/ threading for the bottom cover.
-missing hex nuts for the jack inputs.


oh and the best part was this was discribed to me as “light use” :astonished: [I knew about the stem, but that was it]

the pedal seems to be in full operation now, and matched my other 101, but the rust and water damage really worry me.

Given the extent of the damage, I wouldn’t pay anything for it. Return it if you can and spend a little extra to get one in decent shape. Good luck!

Water damage is never good. Just because it works today doesn’t mean it will tomorrow. Return it if you can or report the seller to eBay (or Paypal) for grossly misrepresenting the item.
