USB to MIDI

I just bought my LP #1023 & downloaded the latest update 1.02d along with MIDIox wish to know a few things:

  1. Does the update include auto calibration & auto tune functions?

  2. All updates for the Phattys essentially make the Tribute & Stage identical right?

  3. What USB to MIDI interface might you guys recommend?

If I get a cheap $50 one, I may be wasting my money when I need more capabilities later. I’m a computer god but have absolutely no MIDI experience at all.

The features you are describing are not released yet in v1.02d. They should be coming in v1.03 which will probably not be released until after the NAMM show… which is coming up the end of this week, I believe. So, it will be soon but not yet. :slight_smile: At that point I believe that the Tribute edition OS will have all of the same features as the Stage Edition.

As for MIDI interfaces, a [mAudio] MIDISport UNO will do everything you need at the moment… chances are you won’t need more than one midi input and one output for a while. They are relatively inexpensive, too.
