is there a way to set up the moog to record in ableton live through the usb or do i have to set it up through an audio interface?
You need an audio interface to record audio into a computer.

Indeed he could. I was under the impression that he wanted to record audio, though…he could always record MIDI notes without an audio interface by plugging the USB into the computer…but audio does not get sent out via USB.
