I ordered some stuff directly from moog, and they left my apt number off. UPS says that they have a restriction where the package immediately goes back to them, and I cant pick up or redeliver, anyone had the same problem?
I’ve dealt with a few snafus by UPS in the past, but before we go further I’ll say this: EVERY SINGLE SHIPPER HAS ITS SHARE OF PROBLEM DELIVERIES FROM TIME TO TIME.
In no way should their processes be a negative thing for UPS. That being said, I believe that UPS might be able to schedule another delivery attempt to your apartment, IF you can get MOOG to call them with the tracking number and request an address change. The only other possibility is if you can get Moog or UPS to have the package held at the local UPS hub for pickup by the person whose name is on the package. True, they may have problems delivering to you if the apartment number is not on the box, but that was an addressing mistake by Moog. Assuming your name is on the box, they may allow you to pick it up with ID..
The first thing you need to do is, ASAP, contact both UPS and Moog at the same time. Sometimes UPS won’t listen to you if you’re not the paying shipper. Moog may be able to have the box re-attempted if they let the customer service dept know what your apartment number is.
The worst case scenario is UPS sends it back to Moog, and Moog has to ship back to you with your actual apartment number on it.
Before anything else can happen, unfortunately UPS workers must use your package as a doorstop, stepping block, and as a jackstand if they have a flat tire on their truck. THen they have to practice their kicks and punches on your package before a second delivery attempt can be made.
My first Voyager had a huge bootprint on it.
