Playing catch-up with the rest of you folks and will be receiving mine next week.
My question is, will UPS drop off and leave at the door or does this particular item require a signature? I’ll be at work when this happens so do I need to make online prior arrangements to have it left?

I would hope they require a signature. I bought mine through Nova Musik and had to go to the local UPS distribution center to pick it up and sign for it.
Funny thing: Dell generally doesn’t require a signature for their computers. I have come home to $1500 worth of computer and monitor sitting on my front porch. My wife needed a replacement Windows disc for her laptop and had to sign for the DVD, value approximately $1US.
Sometimes it is the discretion of the driver. Fortunately my wife was here when my T3 arrived. I walked in from class to this massive bull in the foyer, you know I think that was almost exactly a year ago today. Ill have to check.

Took a bit of digging on the UPS site but it sounds like the shipper determines if it requires a sig or not. Guess I’ll find out Tuesday…as for calling in sick…well I don’t think so as I’ve only been at my new job for a month. No it didn’t take me long to start feeding my G.A.S. again… 
Shipper usually determInes that. If you have a tracking number you can look it up on the ups website. If signature is required you will see that info on the tracking page.
Ahhhh…thanks. Yes I have been tracking it online but have not seen that notation.

If its not obviously displayed then its probably not requested by the dealer. The driver could drop it off or hang on to it at their discretion. Ive had both. Might as well just try to be there.

We talked about my Taurus on TalkBass (where I go by superdick2112) a while back, and we still need to get together someday for a bass guitar/Moog Taurus fest. Dude i wish i had a t3 on the way!! No i was just adding my ups tracking # experience. I will just have to be satisfied with my old school and foogers. We should get together though. Id love to check out the t3!

That would be me and they arrived last Tuesday to be exact. I was at work when I saw that it was left at my doorstep just before noon. I kind of cringed thinking that they would be sitting there for another 5 hours before I came home. My heart was pounding as I rounded the corner by my house praying that they would still be there. I sighed a breath of relief when I say that big bull on the box still sitting there.
They are soooooo good sounding and I am more than happy with them. I would love to know your Rush presets. Can you PM me? Thanks…
My experience with both UPS and FedEx is that they do not always follow shipper’s instructions as to whether to require a signature. I’m sure that this has something to do with the fact that my house is not really visible from the road, and that I haven’t had a package go missing in the 27 years I’ve lived here (I have, however, had FedEx deliver five consecutive pacakges intended for me to my next-door neighbors. Fortunately, I’m friendly with them).
I even had a guitar left on my doorstep with no signature requested, despite the shipper’s insistence on it.
