Upgrading from os 2.1 to 3.3

Can i do this or do i need to do it in stages ie 2.5,3.0 etc etc?

I dont want to risk sending the voyager loopy! Ill be backing up my patches using sysex librarian just in case.

I dont have the hardware upgrade but im pretty sure you can upgrade to the latest os without it, it just means that i cant have 10,000 presets?? :sunglasses:

Sure, but you have to save your presets and after the upgrade you should do a reset (MASTER/COPYRIGHT INFO/+1/FACTORY SOUNDS/ENTER/CURSOR–>YES/ENTER) and then reload your own presets.

do you have to have the new digitial board to access the octave up and down feature?

No.
All the OS 3.x features except the additional program banks do work on all Voyagers. No matter when they were build. This is the way I like it ! Rudi is THE man out in the fields takinf care on those importent details.
