I have an older Voyager Performer which still has the 1.0 OS/Boot ver. I’ve been trying to upgrade with no luck.
I know I need to install the 1.2/1.5 before I can upgrade to more recent versions. I have downloaded both the .SYX and
.MID files plus MIDI-ox. I keep getting a “ROM CHECKSUM ERROR” message, or my synth doesn’t receive anything at all. I have used various settings, as suggested on the forum, and have tried loading both types of files (as well as loading the MIDI files with my Triton sequencer) Nothing works!
I am using an EMU XMIDI 1X1 USB TAB, plug and play. I have learned today that there is a problem with the Windows drivers these use. I have also looked around and it seems most of the interfaces I can find are also plug and play! Any help will be most appreciated!
