Update Problems

Hello!

this is my first post here so i’m sorry to come asking for help straight away. Im trying to update my Voyager’s os from 1.5, i’m pretty computer illiterate when it come to SysEx dumps and things like that, I was always happy just using the thing as it was. I was hoping to start using the editor on my computer but i need 3.5 to do that i think? I’ve tried to to do the update using
SysEx Librarian but after loading bank b it just goes back to what ever patch I was on, instead of asking for d ect… I figured maybe i need to step up to 2 the 2.5 ect but i can’t find any info online or the files to do that with..

There are three possibilities to change the LCD:

  1. If you are in the system mode:
    After power on press the MASTER button.
    Then press 4 times the +1 button.
    Then press the ENTER button.
    Press the +1 button and then the ENTER button.
    Then press the CURSOR button and then the ENTER button.

If this doesn’t help:

  1. Switch the Voyager off and on.
    Press the ENTER button.
    Then press the MASTER button.
    Press ENTER and then if the display is clear press and hold
    the -1 button.
    If the display is dark press and hold the +1 button.

If this doesn’t help:

  1. Switch the Voyager off and on.
    Press the PANEL button.
    Then press the +1 button.
    Press the ENTER button and then if the display is clear
    press and hold the -1 button.
    If the display is dark press and hold the +1 button.

The right update order is:

  1. Bank B
  2. Bank A
  3. Bank C
  4. Bank D

my mistake, I thought you wrote “goes black” instead “goes back”.
OK, do you see a bargraph on the Voyager’s screen during the SysEx dump?
If not, make sure that the SysEx Device ID number in the MASTER menu is #1.
