#619: Cubase crashes when providing non existing file name for IMPORT BANK #629: Changing category resets the preset #634: Sequence Mod Dest is changed when clicking Save #618: Windows performance becomes poor after working with the Librarian (much faster copying) #623: Brown background may appear in Librarian under wrong circumstances #605: The Librarian doesn’t remember the last used directory
Also removed the 14 presets with leading spaces and removed the 2 ghost presets
#605: The Librarian doesn’t remember the last used directory
This works now, but why dose it not remember the last Preset selected too,
Don’t you think it would make it better if the bank and last Preset where highlighted
If you flicking though Presets and find something you like, but you then decide to carry on looking from where you was, be a lot easier if it was highlighted from where you left it.
This entry is a preset (bank 1 slot 4), not an edit buffer: Trash Audio/Alessandro Cortini/Peace.syx: Moog Sub 37 Preset v7 0.3
It’s another one that was good, then bad, then good again, …
My peanut-gallery take on the Librarian folder/preset highlighting issue:
This is how it worked on versions 0.9.28 through 0.9.50
go to the Librarian page
select a folder
it is highlighted
select a preset in that folder
it is highlighted
go to another page
return to Librarian page
preset is still highlighted
folder is not
That was the base problem that was reported: a preset was highlighted but its folder wasn’t.
This is how it works on version 0.9.51
repeat the setup from above, selecting a folder and a preset
go to another page
return to the Librarian page
briefly see the preset highlighted
then the highlight is removed
then the folder becomes highlighted and selected
the preset is left un-highlighted
So now we get the folder highlighted,
but the preset that is still selected is not shown as being selected.
Kind of seems like a regression.
Sort of prefer the original way.
(especially for a release)
(Er… I don’t mean that I prefer it broken, just that maybe the original “broken” is less bad than the new “broken”.)
Just a question about browsing through presets using the up and down arrows on the hardware.
Is it supposed to scroll up when pressing the down arrow and scroll down when pressing the up arrow? I just thought I’d try out the feature, but don’t think I’ll really use it.
So, you’re on the Sub 37, in Preset mode, with a preset selected, and you press the up arrow button in the middle below the LCD screen? And in the Editor, on the Librarian page, with a preset selected in the Hardware Presets column, you see the highlighting move down one position.
I see your point.
Well, it goes to the next preset, to the slot one number higher, and on the hardware, it wraps around to the start of the next bank if it was at the end of the previous bank. It’s just that the numbers run left to right on the bank/preset buttons on the hardware, and the numbers run top to bottom in the list in the software. Maybe Up doesn’t mean up to the ceiling, rather it means Next in this context? Those up/down buttons have lots of jobs to do on the hardware.
I am still having this issue. It was 3-5 lanes before this version 0.9.48/ 1.1.27 and from 0.9.48-0.9.51 the problem has gotten worse now it the automation line stops by the second lane. Just wanted to update i have been busy lately.
Installation (Mac OS X 10.11.3) went smooth. Observations so far:
Permissions for the installed (VST/AU) Plug-Ins (admin/staff/world 775) are different from system standard. They should be (System/wheel/world 755).
In a lengthy late night sound tweaking session, I found the status of the editor panel to be completely out of sync with the knob and switch settings on the hardware several times. Editor was open as standalone, MIDI and Audio of the Sub 37 was routed through MainStage.
Ports on the Editor are set to USB (AFAIR, I never did anything to that setting specifically)
Software was not completely disconnected (but frankly, I didn’t check that)… it somehow was not aware that settings were changed on the hardware
Software didn’t properly get back to full control automatically, I needed to click on “Capture Hardware” several times to (incrementally) fetch the current state of all hardware controls (which would not have worked at all if it was really disconnected)
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to reproduce this behavior. As already said it was late at night, I was totally consumed with sound design and not in a “test mood”. Thus I can’t provide any more helpful details. Sorry.
