I have just bought a Theremini. I love it, but:
it makes a loud “crunch” sound at power-up, with both the on-button and external switching.
and
It makes a sound on the speaker all the time - see the unanswered thread “noisy speaker” from 2017.
Is this condidered normal? Thanks.
The power up noise is normal, I have a Theremini and an Etherwave Plus and both do it
I don’t know about the speaker noise though, mine works fine

Have you calibrated it as per the manual? Mine was making a noise when powered on but all good after I spent a few min running through the inbuilt calibration routine.
