Tuning The Moog Source...

so i use my source live a lot… and actually have 3 shows this weekend. i usually have my tech friend calibrate/tune the source when it occasionally gets drifty. he’s unfortunately very busy this week, and i’m running into a problem where the master tune pot (on the back) no longer reaches the note i need to tune to (C flat instead of standard C). It used to get there, but it mustve drifted over time, and even when its completely turned as low as possible, it’s still a couple cents sharp of the note i need.

do you know if adjusting the keyboards’ overall pitch is a simple tweak of a trimpot? or would i need a strobe-tuner and make incremental adjustments between 2 or more trimpots? I’m pretty sure thats what he (the tech) does, which I wouldnt really feel comfortable getting into myself.

any help/tips are appreciated
Jim

First thing I would check is the power rails, sounds like they’re out of calibration. If they are out, everything else goes out too. After that, you can calibrate the oscillators, each have their own trimpots.

ok thanks for the info. looks like i’ll leave it to the tech.
