What am I missing. It seems to go sharp or flat over a couple of octaves even in the auto tune mode. What is the best way to keep it tuned and rocking?
A stable temperature in the room is absolutely vital. Also, let it warm up for a couple minutes before playing it. Basically as long as the ambient temperature is stable, the LP will be stable. If the LP’s stand is over a heat vent or under a window or something, move it away. Hope this helps! ![]()
I’m a Moog-noob, so I’ll ask:
Does the Little Phatty State II really go out of tune? I never knew that these had to be tuned.
Once the LP is warmed up, I don’t think the ambient temp is really that much of an issue, especially if the LP is in auto-tune mode.
Have you noticed a lot of tuning issues with yours?

Only in the summer when the air conditioner kicked in. I had the LP right over the vent. Since I moved all my gear, I haven’t had an issue. ![]()

bump… I’ve heard that it has some kind of auto-tuning feature, but how well does it work? Will I need to tune it out of the box and before every time I use it?

It’s already tuned at the factory. If it’s really out of tune you can do a calibration (for specific instructions please check the manual).
The auto tuning mode works great, select AUTO in the TUNING MODE menu and your good to go. This also disables the fine tune knob so you can’t accidentally change the tuning while your twisting knobs. ![]()
Sweet! How long does it take to auto-tune? Is it pretty quick, as in, turn it on and be playing within a minute?
Yes, it works immediately. ![]()
