Tuning per patch/Master tune question

I was checking individual T-3 patches for proper tuning with a quartz guitar tuner (a few of the lower-tuned ones weren’t sounding quite right), and I have come across a few in my T-3 that are sharp, especially those set in the lower/lowest octaves. This seems strange to me, as some patches are sharp, while others are dead-on at A=440Hz, verified by individually checking both the primary osc. and the second osc. on the patches in question. Because the tuning control is a Master/global parameter, does this mean I need to perform a tuning calibration on my T-3, or is it possible to have a separate tuning per patch?

I recommend you leave 'em turned on for 30mins or more and then do a Note Calibration. It only takes 8-9 minutes to tune the whole thing. Much quicker than the LP! Give that a go and let us know what you find out.

Also keep in mind that some presets may well have Osc B detuned, which could throw off your tuner… but run the note calibration first and then re-check those presets. Curious to know what you find. There is not (intentionally) a “per preset” tuning variable.

Amos, the calibration appears to have cleaned things up. And you are correct - on patches with the 2nd osc. detuned, the guitar tuner tends to track the detuned osc. rather than the primary osc. All better now. Any news on the Taurus firmware update?

Bump - Amos, you asked to know the results of the calibration - all is well now. Any word on the firmware update?
